Each winter, Branches of Dance brings our entire studio together for our annual Winter Recital: The Nutcracker Remixed—a creative and reimagined production of the classic holiday ballet.

This production blends multiple styles of dance and features original choreography, unique characters, and a fresh storytelling approach designed to highlight the growth and artistry of every dancer in our studio.

About the Production

The Nutcracker Remixed is a full-studio production performed every other year and serves as our winter performance experience for all enrolled dancers.

Students will learn choreography during the July through December training period, culminating in performances held in December.

This production is designed to give dancers a meaningful stage experience while building teamwork, confidence, and performance quality in a structured and supportive environment.

Participation Information

All currently enrolled Branches of Dance students participate in The Nutcracker Remixed as part of their seasonal training experience.

Dancers will:

• Learn choreography during regular class time (July–December)
• Participate in rehearsals and staging preparation
• Perform in our December winter performances
• Continue using their costume in our spring recital performance in June
• Participation in both productions is part of our full-season performance structure.

Participation & Costume Fees

A Nutcracker Remixed participation fee and costume fee will apply for all dancers participating in this production.

These fees help cover essential production costs, including but not limited to:

• Theater rental
• Technical crew and production staff
• Security and custodial services
• Backdrops, props, and set design
• Lighting and stage production elements
• Overall show administration and event expenses

A separate participation fee will also apply for the spring recital in June, which follows the same professional production structure.
